Core Values

At KCFC Foundation, our work is guided by values that shape our identity, inform our decisions and define how we engage with our community. These values are not aspirational; they are lived, demonstrated and embedded in every programme deliver:

TOGETHERNESS (UNITY / UBUNTU)

KCFC’s activities are deliberately inclusive; churches, institutions, families, youth, elders, Accra–Ho–Hohoe sectors, all brought under one umbrella. The club constantly reinforces the idea that impact happens when people come together.

“I am because we are” isn’t a slogan for KCFC, it’s how the club operates.

This value is seen in:

  1. Multi-church collaborations over the years (Catholic, E.P., Baptist, etc.)
  2. Cross-sector participation (Accra, Ho, Hohoe)
  3. Community-wide events like Carols Night and outreach programmes

SERVICE TO HUMANITY

At the heart of KCFC is service; especially to the vulnerable. Events are never just for celebration; they are tied to a cause.

This shows up in:

  1. Annual Anniversary Projects
  2. Heart of Christmas Project (children on admission)
  3. Hampers of Hope (elderly, widows, bedridden)
  4. Choosing impact over profit, even when finances run at a deficit
  5. Raising project funds even at Sector end of year fun-events

Consciously or unconsciously, KCFC consistently answers the question: “Who does this help?”

FAITH & MORAL GROUNDING

KCFC’s programmes are deeply anchored in Christian values; worship, prayer, gratitude, compassion and hope, without being divisive or exclusionary.

This is evident in:

  1. The Clubs’ conscious effort not to demean any religious belief
  2. Festival of Nine Lessons & Carols
  3. Respect for church leadership
  4. Emphasis on prayer, exhortation and thanksgiving

Faith for KCFC is not performative, it guides decision-making and conduct.

EXCELLENCE WITH HEART

Even as a volunteer-driven club, KCFC strives for quality in planning, communication, branding and execution while remaining human and relatable.

Examples include:

  1. Well-structured events and programmes
  2. Professional communication with partners
  3. Thoughtful post-event reporting and accountability

KCFC believes doing good should also be done well.

INTEGRITY & ACCOUNTABILITY

KCFC is transparent about finances, challenges, lessons learned and outcomes. There is no attempt to gloss over deficits or challenges only honest reporting and reflection.

This is seen in:

  1. Open financial summaries
  2. Clear explanation of non-profit intentions
  3. Willingness to improve from feedback

Trust is built because nothing is hidden.

COMMUNITY OWNERSHIP

KCFC does not act for the community; it acts with the community. For example, events held in Hohoe are almost always designed to feel like it is owned by Hohoe, not imposed by an organisation.

This is evident in:

  1. Local institutions leading and supporting
  2. Community members contributing resources
  3. Strong local identity and pride in programmes

KCFC positions itself as a connector, not a controller.

GRATITUDE & HUMILITY

KCFC consistently acknowledges contributors, from major partners to individuals supporting in cash, offering items such as chairs, sound, transport or time.

This culture of gratitude:

  1. Strengthens relationships
  2. Encourages repeat support
  3. Reflects humility in leadership

KCFC understands that impact is collective, not individual.
